INTENSIVE SKILLS-BASED HANDS-ON INSTRUCTION

Demonstrating & Teaching:- INHIBITION, NON-DOING, giving DIRECTION

as outlined

FOCUS OF INTENSIVES WILL INCLUDE:-
  • How to place hands on the head, neck and back relationship so as to demonstrate "let the neck be free, to let the head balance forward and up on the neck, to let the back lengthen and widen".
  • How to teach & demonstrate inhibition, non-doing and direction-sending (to the primary control) in all daily life activities and interactions i.e., when standing, sitting, reciting or public speaking; while putting hands on the back of a chair or picking up a musical instrument, doing a lunge; or when meeting the unexpected!
  • The atmosphere of the intensive will be peaceful, mindful and supportive in order to facilitate a learning environment.

Special Weekend Intensive Available for Alexander Teachers only:-
Communicating & Demonstrating Alexander lessons to Medical Doctors & Health Professionals with C.C.C. - Clarity, Consistency, Confidence - in light of the British Medical Journal's research publication of 23/8/08.

Diana Devitt-Dawson, head of training will be conducting the intensives.
